Teeth Whitening

There are two procedures available to our patients who wish to have their Teeth Whitened.

Home Teeth Whitening

The home procedure Teeth Whitening is where you have the close fitting bleaching trays made and will then be given full instructions how to use your whitening kit to bleach your teeth overnight at home.

In-practice Teeth Whitening

In this case we use a more powerful bleaching solution which is applied by the dentist after complete gum protection with a special sealant material. The powerful solution will be painted onto the teeth in surgery by the dentist and will be washed off and reapplied 3-4 times in one visit. This session will act as a conditioning treatment in which a whitening effect will be achieved but the treatment will then be completed at home by wearing close fitting trays with a lower concentration whitening gel for a few hours a day over 4-5 days.

The shade of your teeth will be recorded before you start the Teeth Whitening treatment and your new shade will be recorded 2 weeks after completing your whitening treatment by seeing your dentist for a very important review appointment.
